Bedford-Lynchburg Elks Lodge No. 321 Hosts Successful Baby Shower
On Monday, November 3rd, the Bedford-Lynchburg Elks Lodge No. 321 held a successful baby shower at the Bedford Pregnancy Center in Bedford, VA. The Bedford Pregnancy Center is a Christian-based nonprofit counseling center that provides support to mothers, expectant mothers, and their families.
Nine mothers attended the shower while we were present, with several more expected to arrive later. As part of the Spotlight Grant—focused on promoting literacy—we purchased $600 worth of children’s books. The remaining $1,400 was used to buy car seats, crib mattresses, and other essential items.
In addition to the grant funds, one member generously donated new clothing and knitted baby hats, and a non-member contributed handmade baby quilts. Everyone involved had a wonderful time supporting this worthy cause.
This marks the sixth year our Lodge has partnered with the Bedford Pregnancy Center, continuing our commitment to helping children get off to a strong start in life—because these children are our future.
We were honored to have State President Lynn Rutherford-Snow and her Administrative Assistant, Gigi Jones, join us for the event. Volunteers John Owen, Nancy Owen, Sandra Angel, and Keith Campbell also gave their time and energy to make the day a success.
Thank you, Bedford-Lynchburg Elks Lodge No. 321, for your continued dedication and generosity.
