Good morning, SW Elks and others

It is with deep sadness that I have learned from David Stultz, that

PER Milton Woody Goad, Roanoke Elks Lodge #197 has passed from our midst.

Woody's obituary is as follows:

His service was held on Monday, April 26th.

It is not generally the practice that a PER's obituary be

distributed, but this is an exception.  Brother Woody was a very

kind, gentle, and dedicated Elk.  Whenever he attended a Convention

or such, you could always expect kindness to come forth and a

handshake to follow shortly.

When serving Hampton Lodge as Exalted Ruler, 1986-1987, Brother Woody

coached me for the 11 O'Clock Toast Contest.  He was that kind of Elk

and life-long friend.  We need more Elks like Woody Goad.

Expressions of sympathy may be sent to:

Mrs. Beatrice K Goad

2673 Parkview Drive

Vinton, VA 24179-1613

May this giant of an Elk rest in eternal peace.

Fraternally,

Bill Tennis
